300hour yoga teacher training

Dates tba.

It’s a great idea to continue yoga study beyond a 200hr course. And a natural choice to commit to a 300hr.

Although exploring ideas from many yoga schools, including Iyengar, and Ashtanga, this 300hr is a Yoga Synergy training. Expect significant shifts if you completed your 200hr with Stefan before he discovered Synergy.

THIS IS AN ADVANCE TRAINING

that starts from the foundations

The advanced practices of yoga are not so complicated. To perform advanced poses, transitions and sequences, we simply apply the correct foundational ideas correctly at the right time. We gain and build the complexity of an advanced practice by gaining a more accurate understanding of the fundamentals.

THe process

The process is to redefine and re-evaluate our foundations – we’ll look at everything from philosophy and teaching skills to anatomy and physiology. We will go back to the foundations of breath, posture and movement, and cultivate a razor-sharp understanding.

Second, we research and discuss the how and why of yoga. I’ll avoid offering rules or solutions without giving a good reason. Our credibility as yoga teachers depends on this.

Thirdly, we need to progress our communication skills. A good teacher is someone who conveys meaningful information to their students at the right time and in the right way. Being a yoga teacher is challenging, as the skills required to teach a class, lead a lecture, run a workshop or teach online are entirely different.

Throughout the course we will work to develop these skills separately, preparing you to teach in several scenarios with ease.

Lastly, in the industry section of this course I’ll give you an insider’s view to help your business thrive, and avoid common mistakes. We’ll go into detail by making case studies of strategies that have worked well, and contrast with some that haven’t.

what we teach

yoga synergy

In this training, you’ll learn Yoga Synergy, a practice familiar with modern postural yoga like vinyasa. Yoga Synergy has a strong focus on working with and understanding human physiology. At the same time, it is strongly influenced by Taoist Yoga, like Qi Gong. This evidence-based approach focuses on maintaining a safe practice accessible to students of all levels. The movements are specific, the poses purposeful, and the teaching style intentional. Learn more about it here.
